During the October intensive
Three talks on Lifestyle Medicine (LM) were delivered by Shayna Chandrakant Parekh, an Iyengar yoga student and researcher at the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru. Shayna presented scientific research across the eight foundational pillars of LM, and their impact on chronic disease. This includes: (1) plant-based nutrition, (2) exercise, (3) sleep, (4) toxic substances, (5) stress resilience, (6) social connections, (7) love, gratitude & purpose, and (8) environment.
