Course on Philosophy of Yoga — Sage Patanjali's Yoga Sutras by Brahmachari Siddhartha Krishna

21st October to 28th October 2018

This course provides a basic introduction to the Philosophy of Yoga. Selected Sutras from the second chapter of the Yoga Sutras by Sage Patanjali will be studied and discussed. Siddhartha Krishna was educated at Kailas Ashram Brahma Vidya Pitha, a monastery focusing on the teaching of Vedanta. He taught courses on Sanskrit grammar and Indian philosophy at the same monastery and also edited their publications on Vedanta. In his further study he has specialized on Veda and Yoga philosophy as well and has published translations of and commentaries on Sanskrit texts.

This class is for those who have received approval from the Gymnastics Fundamentals instructor. We’ll start with beginner strength-building holds before progressing to more advanced ones.

Open to any level of practice, our Vinyasa Yoga class is all about syncing our movements with our breath and linking each pose to create a seamless sequence.
