A Wonderful Clay Work Display
God created the world out of his imagination with
the five elements namely earth, water, fire, wind and sky, but the earth was the
most important one as it provided the base. In today's world children have a
very imaginative mind and clay is a very good tool to bring out their
imagination. On the results day, the 30th March 2007, the clay work was displayed which all the
parents and visitors appreciated.
The playgroup children showed a variety of fruits
like watermelons, strawberries, oranges, apples, grapes, bananas and many more.
They were kept in small baskets with their rate slips in a fabulous fruit shop.

The nursery students prepared different utensils
which are used in a real Indian rural kitchen like many old types of earthen
pots, urns, flagons and equipment like chulha, sil, okhly and musal. The urban
kitchen showed a trendy equipment like cupboards with beautifully decorated
cups, plates, bowls, pots, a mixer, a grinder, an LPG gas stove and a sink. The
display beautifully showed the different lifestyles of ancient and modern India.

The kindergarten students presented a village
which they named Omkarananda Gram. Houses of mud, a village well, a panchayat, a
temple, an animal’s shed, a small market place, a railway line with a train
passing through a tunnel, fields full of vegetables, rice and flowers, a small
pond, and many more aspects of a village were shown. They brought out the real
feel of a healthy, happy and undisturbed village life.
