"Happiness
lies not in the mere possession of money;
it lies in the joy of achievement and in the thrill of creative
effort."
John F. Harrison.
The Omkarananda Mahotsava was an
amalgam of tradition, colour and aesthetics. The 25th morning of December 2006
was a rainbow of spiritual and cultural extravaganza in Omkarananda Ashram
auditorium.
The welcome song "Swagatam Shubh
Swagatam" was sung melodiously by our nursery students. The presentation was so
ardent and penetrating that the entire gathering was surcharged with a warm
welcome.
A skit "An amazing discovery of
NASA" presented by the Kindergarten students, left the people spell bond and showed their
talent in such an impressive manner that the entire gathering was amazed at
their performance.
They presented in their skit that
even the scientists, who believe only in facts, cannot deny the importance of
spiritualism. They discovered a unique star in sky and gave it the name of a
great saint and proved their scientific discovery worthwhile by answering the
queries of reporters in a conference.
Next came the real attraction of
the day, the Rajasthani Dance, presented by our teachers.
Astounding set of Rajasthan along
with a dancing camel, excellent choreography and superb rhythmic movements made
it an honorable and memorable performance.
On completion, Swami
Vishveshwarananda thanked the audience for their support, cooperation and
encouragement. He congratulated all the participants who worked with zeal and
team spirit to make the function a grand success.
